The Windjammer is made from long fiber Ventile cotton, known for its expedition quality water resistance. Ventile was originally designed to help keep RAF pilots cool and comfortable, but dry from water. When Edmond Hillary and Tenzing Norgay first scaled Everest, they wore this fiber.

This jacket is not 100% Waterproof, but we made efforts to keep seams and moving parts to a minimum, in a effort to aid in its ability to combat water.
